700Credit — An integrated partner service for EverLogic that allows dealerships to run customer credit reports and identify any red flags. This integration helps streamline the financing process by quickly pulling credit information needed for loan approvals.
A
Accounting (QuickBooks Accounting) — The module in EverLogic that handles all accounting functions through QuickBooks integration without double-entry of data. Works with both QuickBooks Online and desktop versions.
Appointment — In EverLogic’s service module, an appointment refers to a scheduled service visit for a customer. Service managers can create appointments and assign them to technicians using a built-in calendar.
AppOne — A third-party finance integration in EverLogic that connects your dealership with a network of lenders for loan approvals.

Back Office (Document Management) — The module in EverLogic for handling administrative and paperwork tasks, including digital document storage and after-sale processes. All deal paperwork and forms (e.g. buyer’s orders, titles, warranty forms) are stored electronically in the DMS.
Barcode — EverLogic supports barcode technology to speed up parts and sales processes counter or sales desk.
Bin (Part Bin) — A physical location or compartment where parts are stored, tracked within EverLogic’s parts inventory module. Each part in inventory can be assigned a bin location (e.g. “Aisle 3 – Bin 5”), which EverLogic records to help you locate stock
Buy Rate — In dealership financing, the “buy rate” is the interest rate a lender offers to the dealership on a loan

Cloud-Based (EverLogic Hosting) — EverLogic is primarily a cloud-based system, accessed via the internet and data stored on a cloud.
Commission — Commission refers to the sales commission earned by a salesperson or employee for a deal. The DMS includes commission calculation features as part of profit accounting and deal processing.
Consignment — A type of unit sale where the dealership is selling a vehicle on behalf of a private owner for a fee or commission.
Cycle Count — A feature in the parts inventory module for auditing and reconciling inventory quantities on a rolling basis.
Calendar (Service Calendar) — A scheduling tool in the service module that service managers use to set appointments and assign work to technicians.

DMS (Dealership Management System/Software) — A comprehensive software platform designed for running all aspects of a dealership’s operations. Dealership Management System and Dealership Management Software are used interchangeably and are often abbreviated DMS.

Delivered (Deal Status) — The final status in the sales process, indicating a deal has been completed and the unit delivered to the customer.
Deposit — Money taken from a customer upfront to hold a unit or put toward the purchase. EverLogic allows you to record deposits on deals and apply them to the final sale.

End of Day (EOD) — The daily closing process in EverLogic that finalizes transactions and posts them to accounting.

F&I (Finance and Insurance) — A common dealership term referring to the financing and insurance aspect of vehicle sales. In EverLogic, F&I functions are encompassed in the sales & finance module.
Finance Reserve — The profit a dealership earns by arranging a customer’s financing at an interest rate above the lender’s buy rate. EverLogic’s profit accounting feature allows you to account for finance reserve on deals.
FlexView — A feature in EverLogic that allows users to create customizable list views or reports by filtering and sorting data according to specific criteria.
Floor Plan — A financing method for dealership inventory, where a third-party finance company or bank provides a line of credit to purchase stock units.
Follow-up — Any post-sale or post-service contact with a customer, usually aimed at ensuring satisfaction or generating repeat business.

Global Payments Integrated — EverLogic’s integrated credit card payment processing solution. Global Payments allows EverLogic to handle credit/debit card transactions directly within the DMS.
Goodwill (Goodwill Payment) — A payment type or adjustment in EverLogic’s point-of-sale system representing an in-house courtesy or free-of-charge service.

Holdback (Dealer Holdback) — A portion of a vehicle’s price (often a few percent of MSRP) that is reimbursed to the dealership by the manufacturer or kept as profit.

Implementation (Onboarding) — The period (typically 30 days) and process of setting up EverLogic for a new dealership after purchase, before going live; includes data upload, document programming, QuickBooks mapping, training, etc.
Internal Payment — A payment method in EverLogic indicating that a charge is paid internally as part of a larger sale or covered by the dealership, rather than collected directly from the customer
Inventory (Unit Inventory) — The module for managing the dealer’s stock of units (vehicles like RVs, trailers, golf carts, etc.)
Itemization (Inventory Itemization) — In EverLogic, itemization usually refers to the detailed breakdown of costs or components associated with a unit or deal.

Journal Entry (QuickBooks Journal Entry) — A manual accounting adjustment recorded in QuickBooks. Although EverLogic pushes transactional data automatically to QuickBooks, sometimes a dealership accountant may need to make journal entries in QuickBooks to adjust balances, correct errors, or apply depreciation. These entries are not created in EverLogic but are part of the overall accounting workflow once data is posted from the DMS.
K
Kenect — a texting platform that some dealers integrate with EverLogic to capture leads and communicate with customers. Though not built into EverLogic by default, dealers who use Kenect can have customer inquiries (such as website text leads) routed to their CRM or WebManager leads list.
L
Labor Code — A predefined common service job in EverLogic, with a set description and a fixed price (or standard time).
Lead (Web Lead) — A prospective customer inquiry, often originating from the dealership’s website or other online sources.
License — In the context of EverLogic software, a license represents an active login entitlement for using the system; licenses determined by active users rather than total users.

Mobile App (EverLogic Mobile) — A lightweight, web-enabled version of EverLogic designed to be used on mobile devices (phones, tablets) for remote dealership tasks.
Module — A distinct functional component of the EverLogic DMS, focused on a specific area of the dealership (Includes CRM, Parts Inventory, Point of Sale (POS), Sales & Finance, Document Management, Unit Inventory, QuickBooks Accounting, and Service)
MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) — The recommended selling price of a unit set by the manufacturer.
MTD (Month-to-Date) — A term used in reporting to indicate cumulative figures from the start of the current month up to today.
Module — A distinct functional component of the EverLogic DMS, focused on a specific area of the dealership (Includes CRM, Parts Inventory, Point of Sale (POS), Sales & Finance, Document Management, Unit Inventory, QuickBooks Accounting, and Service)

Notes (Customer/Unit/Deal Notes) — Custom comments or observations recorded within EverLogic for internal use. Notes can be added in nearly every module – for example, on a Customer profile (e.g., “prefers weekend service”), on a Unit (e.g., “minor hail damage on roof”), or on a Deal (e.g., “waiting for trade title”).

Onboarding — See Implementation. EverLogic often uses “implementation” and “onboarding” to mean the same process of getting the software set up for a new client . It includes data transfer, training, and document programming before the dealership goes live on EverLogic.

Part Kit — A predefined group of parts commonly sold or used together, especially in service operations.
Point of Sale (POS) — The module that handles retail transactions and payments at the dealership.
Profit Accounting — In EverLogic, Profit Accounting refers to the tracking and analysis of deal profitability and related financial metrics, often used for calculating commissions and reserves.

QuickBooks — One of EverLogic’s standout features – the DMS integrates seamlessly with Intuit QuickBooks for accounting. This means that EverLogic does not have a standalone accounting ledger but relies on QuickBooks to handle the general ledger.

Quote (Sales Quote) — A preliminary sales deal created for a prospective buyer, listing the unit and proposed figures but not yet finalized.
